Dr. Garza completes 3,000 surgeries
Austin, TX—Recently, a surgeon with Texas Robotic Surgery for Women surpassed 3,000 robotic-assisted procedures to treat benign gynecologic conditions. The milestone procedure, performed by Devin M. Garza, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., took place at St. David’s Surgical Hospital, a campus of St. David’s North Austin Medical Center.
“Common gynecologic conditions such as fibroids and endometriosis can cause significant pain for women and interfere with daily activities,” Devin Garza, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., gynecology surgeon and minimally invasive surgery director at Texas Robotic Surgery for Women at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, said. “Minimally invasive robotic procedures can quickly treat these conditions and have many benefits over traditional surgery, including faster recovery times, smaller incisions and a reduced risk of infection. We are dedicated to providing the most advanced surgical techniques to heal women and improve their quality of life.”
Dr. Garza is one of the first physicians in Texas to use robotic technology for gynecologic procedures beginning in 2006. At Texas Robotic Surgery for Women, located on the campus of St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, Dr. Garza treats patients with a variety of conditions, including pelvic pain, endometriosis and fibroids, among others. He is a national leader and pioneer in the development of robotic procedures treating fibroids.
