About Amanda Armond, NP

Amanda Armond, NP-C, WHNP-BC.

Amanda is a native Austinite and has spent the majority of her life here with the exception of a few years in South Carolina, The Woodlands, and San Antonio. Her passion for women’s health began with her first gynecological exam. She was impressed by the professionalism and care the Nurse Practitioner had provided. Her passion was reignited with the delivery of her first daughter. A few months after delivery, she enrolled at Austin Community College where she would earn her Associate Degree in

Nursing in 2011. Upon graduation, she began working at St. David’s Medical Center in Postpartum, Antepartum, and Gynecologic

care. During this time, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University. After a year, she transferred

to Labor and Delivery, continuing to work in L&D. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Alabama at Birmingham for Adult-Gerontology and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in 2015. Amanda is certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with National Certification Cooperation, as well as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner with American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her passion for women’s health has continued where she worked at Ob/GYN clinic settings for 5 years. She is excited to work alongside with Dr. Garza again and provide optimal and passionate care to her patients.

Amanda loves to spend time with her husband, step-son, and two daughters. Life is busy, but when they have the time, they enjoy

Austin food and brewery scene.

She is an active member of Austin Advance Practice Nurses & Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health. She is always researching the most up-to-date information related to women’s health.
